Early Bird

Wednesday was mild for January with a temperature of around 8°C through the afternoon reaching a high of 11.6°C just before midnight.

I posted about a female blackbird who is always first to the bird table when suet pellets are added each morning. She now has competition from a male blackbird who can get rather brave if it means getting to the bird table first.

    It would be nice to think it's Hoppy with a mended leg, wouldn't it?

      Lovely thought Jo. I still half expect Hoppy to arrive at the bird table each morning. He never missed a day last winter.
