Winter's Icy Grip Continues!

Well, winter just refuses to go away. Almost lunchtime on Sunday and the temperature is still below freezing with a bitingly cold easterly wind blowing.

Gardening continues to be on hold.
Looking forward to spring!

  1. We've risen above zero, but you wouldn't know from the snow!

    1. Bitterly cold here in easterly gale. Roads and pavements have cleared but garden is still covered in snow.

  2. I guess I really shouldn't say that I enjoyed the video, but I did find it interesting. So much snow, so late in the season. We, too, are having unusually cool and wet weather. Flooding is expected this week, actually debris flow since there are very few level places around here

    1. Understand that that Stratospheric warming is probably still responsible for our cold weather. Apparently the atmosphere still hasn’t recovered properly in that our usual weather pattern is west to east basically weather comes in from the Atlantic. At the moment our weather systems are a bit stuck in systems moving east to west bringing cold Siberian winds.

I’m guessing that once it stops raining we’ll get a long spell of dry weather.

Hope you don’t get any flood if the forecasts are correct .
