I've added the weight of seed potatoes purchased to the table which shows why some crops have produced larger harvests.

Do you know, I think I'll give Winston a go next year. I've heard it's good for showing! How do you rate it's eating qualities?

ReplyDeleteWinston will certainly be on our list for growing again next year. We thought the flavour was pretty good. Wouldn't like to comment on its slug resistance as they've not been a problem with our crop this year. If you're thinking of showing Casablanca now seems to be preferred rather than Winston. Perhaps I'll try some Casablanca as well next year instead of Maris Bard.
