An End To Winter?

At last it turned much milder over the weekend and we got rid of the cold easterly winds which have persisted for the last couple of months. Lets hope spring has sprung at long last. Sunday turned out to be easily the warmest day of the year so far with a temperature of 18.2°C.

Our new pet “Trig” some sour dough starter is growing well after a few days of feeding. I reckon the process is going well as bubbles have formed in the starter now each time feeding takes place.

There was going to be a picture here but due to unforeseen circumstances all the pictures have been deleted from the camera.

  1. Our blackthorn's just come out, so it's a cautious welcome to spring for me until the end of May.

Congratulations on keeping all your weather records - it's something I've contemplated on doing for a while, so I'll becoming back and perusing your setup :)

    1. The last couple of mild days have started plants off at last.

  2. It was lovely to have some warmer weather at last, it really does put you in the mood for getting on with some jobs. Go on then, tell us what Trig is short for. I've never attempted sour dough.

    1. Not very original really Jo. Trig short for Trigger and hence starter dough.
