Cold But By No Means A Record Breaker

It was certainly cold in the early hours of Thursday morning. Some parts of the UK had extremely low temperatures for our part of the world.

Whilst it was cold for us, as the thermometer fell to -4.8°C (23.4°F), it didn’t break any records as it just failed to make it into the top twenty coldest days I’ve recorded. It's our coldest February day since 03 February 2019 when the temperature fell to -5.2°C or 22.6°F.
Temperature Records 09-11 February 2021

It's our coldest start to February since 2012 when the average temperature, up to the 10th of the month was 0.3°C (32.5°F) compared to 2.0°C (35.6°F) this year.

The forecast is for the cold weather to continue through the weekend before some milder temperatures arrive next Monday.
