A Record Breaker for March

It’s been an excellent spell of weather over the last three days resulting in Tuesday becoming the mildest March day I’ve recorded in the last 12 years. The temperature made it to 23.5°C (74.3°F) smashing the previous record of 21.9°C on 28th March 2012.

We made the most of the weather with an afternoon at the allotment although we tended to enjoy the conditions rather than do any serious allotmenting.

We did manage to harvest a red cabbage and some broccoli in between cups of coffee.

  1. I think that this is the first time you've been warmer than I. But it's now 65 F at 9:00 am so there's still day left. I am going to take my coffee outside and enjoy the weather, too.

    1. What you have to remember Jane is that in June we’ll be saying “do you remember those lovely warm days we had in March”. The warm weather isn’t going to last long with snow showers and a high temperature of 6°C or 43°F on Easter Monday. Still three lovely mild days have been very enjoyable.
