Autumn’s here – it’s turned chilly

The weather had to eventually turn cooler. After above average temperatures throughout July and August and a mild start to September, it was a bit of a shock to the system when a bit of chilly weather arrived this week. The breeze moved into a cold northerly to make it feel even cooler.

  1. Lucky you. We're back to heat wave mode with 95 degree afternoons. I've been following the UK news on the Guardian and hope that things work out all the better for you. Jane Strong

    1. Apologies Jane I've been searching the correct place to reply to your comment. It seems like we are in a bit of a mess at the moment lurching from one crisis to the next. The weather I'm sure will sort itself out and we are now starting to get slightly more wet weather. More serious is the energy issue with energy prices going sky high. The price of electricity and gas more than doubled in price in April and it is set to rise by about another 25% in October. The government have stepped in to prevent the October rise being even more. Then our new prime minister seems to have crashed the economy! What else could possibly go wrong.
