A Snowy Start to February

February has got off to a cold start. Some winters we get away without any snow at all but this year isn't one of them. We had some more snow in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The forecast is for snow showers through the rest of the morning with the possibility of a heavier fall on Tuesday evening.
The temperature is hovering around the 0°C (32°F) mark so an immediate thaw seems unlikely.

  1. Is this much snow unusual? I see that you say sometimes you get away with none.

    1. Tricky question. I'd say yes it is unusual for us to have two falls of snow of a few inches in the same winter. Looking back through my photos the previous decent snowfall was March/April 2018. We are totally unprepared for snow as we can go through winters without any snow at all like the last year.
