If you plan to plant your fig to a perman...Hello :)<br />If you plan to plant your fig to a permanent place you have to prune that tree to encourage root growth. Also when you prune that big branch seal the cut with wax so it doesn't get contaminated. I'm sure you already know that figs have branches that heal very slowly and if the wound is big there is a huge possibility it will get infected.
