I put some enviromesh over them a week ago - could be a factor.Malhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17169050358049841998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2153913301497672504.post-76920273743993700802014-03-29T08:02:03.427+00:002014-03-29T08:02:03.427+00:00Supposed to be a very early, quick growing variety...Supposed to be a very early, quick growing variety for those of us who don't manage to sow an autumn crop. I usually find that broad beans take a few weeks to germinate but the germination rate is quite good. That's probably put the mockers on the ones I've just sowed.Martynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05245774393957298668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2153913301497672504.post-36747312338526397012014-03-29T07:56:32.907+00:002014-03-29T07:56:32.907+00:00I maybe should have sowed our first broad beans an...I maybe should have sowed our first broad beans and leeks a bit earlier but I wanted to wait until the greenhouse roof was repaired. It's all go now though.Martynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05245774393957298668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2153913301497672504.post-68692103159546537862014-03-28T21:42:07.309+00:002014-03-28T21:42:07.309+00:00I haven't heard of that variety. I might end up buying a tray from the little local garden shop in town. It's a lovely independent high street shop, rather than a big chain garden centre, so I'm happy to support them. There's a little discount for allotment society members as well.CJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14311693185700341580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2153913301497672504.post-82751138386981089492014-03-28T11:43:50.319+00:002014-03-28T11:43:50.319+00:00I'm not bothering with broad beans this year, ...I'm not bothering with broad beans this year, it's the bean I like least so I'm going to devote the space to more runners and French beans. The leeks I sowed a couple of weeks ago are only just germinating so you're probably wise to have left sowing them for a while.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17436932004631816039noreply@blogger.com
